Balla is a bright young man and had done well at school until his parents could no longer pay for him.  He made his way to EducAid and used every opportunity he got to really achieve excellence.

In March 2010, Balla was told that he had been awarded a scholarship to go to study ICT in Venezuela.  It took him 17 months of perseverance to battle for his rights against many hurdles of corruption and so on. Just when he thought all hope had gone, the papers all started falling into place.  On 19th July 2011, he hit the road for Caracas.

We wish him every good luck and look forward to seeing him back in Sierra Leone with all his newfound knowledge before too long!
