Volunteer in London

We have beautiful office space in King’s Cross, generously donated to us by ex-CEO and long-time friend of EducAid, Adrian Carr. Our team is small but really cohesive, and we have a broad set of interest and skills between us. We may be tooting our own horn, but you’ll be working with some great people in a really positive environment. Meet the team:

 Erin Northey

Chief Executive

Erin joined EducAid in early-2017. Prior to EducAid she was the President of the Junior League of London, the London branch of a worldwide women’s voluntary organisation. Erin also has experience in education, graduating from Brown University with a Master of Arts in Teaching, and has worked within schools for 7 years back in the United States. Erin is a leader and has strong experience in running complex, international organisations. To read her full bio, please click this link.

Marcus Smith

Operations & Communications Manager

Marcus has been involved with EducAid since late-2013, working on a project basis and eventually becoming full-time in September 2015. He has visited Sierra Leone 3 times to make our promotional videos, set up our Data Collection system and to conduct our Monitoring & Evaluation. His responsibilities are wide-ranging, and his dedication to the EducAid objectives are clear. In the office we call him Mr. EducAid.

Farah Lungay

Fundraising Manager

Farah has worked at EducAid since 2014 and has consistently achieved EducAid’s highest fundraising amounts each year. Dedicated to growing the EducAid community and showing a real passion for EducAid’s programmes, Farah is an integral part of the office and an all-round great gal.

Mike Hursthouse

Finance & Systems Consultant

Mike has been working with EducAid since late-2016, implementing a consolidated accounts package between the UK and SL. He has successfully navigated us through our first Audit and has empowered both geographical sides of our operation with clear, concise information with which to run our organisation.
