EducAid Alumni Network

Alumni

Connecting EducAid alumni to grow networks, share learning, and create lasting impact.

Welcome

Welcome to the EducAid Alumni Network (EAN).

You didn't just attend a school, you became part of a movement. EducAid shaped who you are, and now, through the EducAid Alumni Network (EAN), you have the opportunity to shape what comes next.

Whether you graduated last year or decades ago, whether you're in Freetown or on the other side of the world, this is your network. A place to reconnect, grow, give back, and belong.

Love & Do As You Will.

We Are EAN

The EducAid Alumni Network (EAN) is the official alumni body of EducAid Schools in Sierra Leone. Established in 2012, we are a growing community of former students united by a shared heritage and a common purpose, to support one another, strengthen EducAid, and serve our communities.

We are independent, member-led, and driven by the belief that the EducAid story doesn't end at graduation. It's just getting started.

"My favorite EducAid memory is after I sat to my WASSCE (end of high school examinations). I had never thought of reaching such a level due to many challenges. Accomplishing such achievement is a dream come true. I will never forget the day I received my result and noticed that I got requirement to university "
— Foday

“We learned everything together — even cooking. It built real independence.”
— Sinneh

"Through the nurturing environment provided by EducAid, I not only gained invaluable academic knowledge but also developed essential life skills and forged lifelong friendships. The sense of belonging and support fostered within the EducAid community empowered me to overcome obstacles and seize every opportunity that came my way." - Ibrahim

Our Mission

To build a strong and supportive alumni community that empowers members to grow, support one another, and contribute positively to the growth of EducAid and our society.

Our Vision

A connected and empowered network of EducAid alumni who are making a positive difference in their communities and beyond.

What We Do

EAN is more than a network — it's a lifelong community of support, opportunity, and purpose. From career mentorship to community projects, from skills development to celebrating alumni achievements, we work to ensure that every member has the tools and connections they need to thrive.

Communications Workshop Small

Through EAN, alumni have opportunities to:

  • Stay connected with fellow alumni across Sierra Leone and the diaspora
  • Take part in events and meetings that celebrate, educate, and inspire
  • Access learning and development opportunities to keep growing long after graduation
  • Support and mentor fellow alumni and current EducAid students
  • Contribute to community and education initiatives that create lasting change

The Five Pillars — Our Values

Five core values guide everything we do:

Networking — We stay connected and lift each other, because no alumnus should navigate life's journey alone.

Empowerment — We create space for every member to grow, lead, and succeed on their own terms.

Education — Learning didn't stop when we left school. We continue to share knowledge, skills, and experience across our community.

Inclusivity — Every alumnus belongs here, regardless of where they are, what they do, or how long ago they graduated.

Social Responsibility — We are committed to giving back — to EducAid, to Sierra Leone, and to the communities that shaped us.

Alumni in Action — Success Stories

Every EducAid alumnus carries a story worth telling. Alumni in Action is where we celebrate the achievements, journeys, and impact of our members — from entrepreneurs and educators to activists, artists, and community leaders.

These aren't just success stories. They're proof of what an EducAid education, combined with determination and community, can produce.

Know an alumnus doing extraordinary things? Nominate them to be featured!

EducAid's first female doctor!

Fatmata B. Kamara, graduated in 2025 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery and completed her training as a Military Officer from the Naval Medical University in Shanghai, China!
Fatmata has made history as the first female doctor to emerge from EducAid, and her journey is nothing short of extraordinary. From her early days in EducAid to now standing tall as a doctor and officer, she has broken barriers and paved the way for other young women to follow.
Congratulations, Dr. Kamara!

EducAid’s first Biomedical Science graduate!

Momoh Mustapha Kamara, graduated from the University of Lancashire in the UK with a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science, thanks to the Ashinaga Scholarship in July 2025!
Momoh is not only EducAid’s first Biomedical Science graduate but also one of the very first in Sierra Leone.
Congratulations, M²!  Keep blazing the trail and inspiring others to dream big.

Alumni Powering Sierra Leone!

Ing. Alpha Swarray, an EducAid Alumnus and the current Area Engineer – South at the Electricity Generation and Transmission Company (EGTC). He plays a key role in managing government electricity generating facilities across the Southern Region of Sierra Leone.
Here he is pictured with His Excellency Julius Maada Bio, President of the Republic of Sierra Leone and Dr. Kandeh K. Yumkella, Chairman of the Presidential Initiative on Climate Change, Renewable Energy, and Food Security – a powerful reminder of the impact EducAid alumni are making at the national level.
